Get 25 Gigabyte of Free Online Storage with Microsoft
Often while watching twitter updates I see people asking about a good, secure way of transfer and store data online, of course there are well know services such as facebook, Flickr, Google Picasa however none of these well know services can house my full photo collection in full resolution, currently I have about 24.8Gb of photos that I collected during my travels (one of the perks of being a consultant).
I wasn’t until recently that I found the perfect service to house my pictures online and better yet it’s completely free and by a well know company Microsoft, in fact I am surprise that more people don’t know about it, since to me it is better than all the other photo sites.
You must be eagler to know what service that is I’ll let you know it is called SkyDrive and you already probably have a username and password to access this service if you have a MSN account you automatically get access to SkyDrive visit them at: http://skydrive.live.com to login or to get your free account.
SkyDrive offers a whopping 25 Gigabytes of free storage, that is alot of free storage in my opinion and if you need more you can always have more than one account for example one personal account and one professional that would make for 50 GB of free storage.
The best part of SkyDrive is that it is not just for photos, you can upload any type of file you like, I use mainly for book storage, photos and some music. It will also let you share your shots with friends and family and is especially easy if they have a MSN account as well.
